During a Halifax-to-Toronto move, some of the Casten’s family’s belongings were dumped in Mississauga, Ont., by their moving company instead of being delivered to their home.

Upon arriving late to the family’s new home in Toronto, Big Boys Movers only delivered a portion of the Casten’s belongings—many of which were damaged.

Additionally, the family received a $452 invoice for illegal dumping after most of their missing items were discarded 30 kilometres away in a business park in Mississauga.

After losing thousands of dollars worth of items, the Casten family is issuing a public statement about Big Boys Movers.

According to an industry group, this situation addresses the need for the federal government to take the steps required to control the moving industry so businesses like this are punished for their actions.
